There’s a lot of misinformation circulating about which months are best/worst to take the ACT/SAT based on difficulty level. The truth is, it’s all hogwash. Neither the ACT or SAT change significantly in difficulty or content from month to month or year to year. There are sometimes slight variations in difficulty, but there’s a curve to compensate – if it turns out that science section was a bit harder than average, a lower raw score will yield a higher scaled score, and vice-versa.
There are also *no* unannounced content changes on the SAT or ACT – ever! When content changes do occur, they are major news (e.g., the “redesigned” SAT) and all of the details are made public at least a full year in advance.
